Center for Civic and Community Engagement
Want to make a difference in the community and expand your learning?
The Center for Civic and Community Engagement partners with faculty, staff, and community agencies to combine volunteer service and community-based experiences with academic instruction and guided critical reflection.  Students at ÆåÍêÃÀÊÓѶ can get involved with the Center by taking an academic course that offers a community engagement component or participating in a co-curricular service experience like our Alternative Break trips!
First established by a federal Learn and Serve grant in 2003, the Center has worked collaboratively with faculty, students, and our community for over twenty years.  The Center is part of the Learning Engagement Division, and we regularly collaborate with our colleagues in Honors and Undergraduate Research, Silas Craft Collegians, International Education, and Step Up to engage ÆåÍêÃÀÊÓѶ students in high-impact practices.
