Electric Car Charging at 棋完美视讯
Free level 2 charging stations for electric vehicles are located on the first floor of the East Garage and second floor of the West Garage. These chargers are for use by 棋完美视讯 students, faculty, and staff at no cost. The operator must use a “ChargePoint” card or mobile phone application. Verification is required using the operator’s 棋完美视讯 email account. Establish a ChargePoint account at ChargePoint.com. This requires a credit card but no money will be charged.
After you have an account go to and request a connection at either 5600 Faculty Drive (East Garage) or 5071 Campus Drive (West Garage). Once approved you may charge in either garage.
ChargePoint will contact the EHS department who will verify your 棋完美视讯 status and approve you to use the chargers.
Operators should contact the college’s environmental health and safety department in the facilities office for additional information and assistance. rmarietta@howardcc.edu
Important Charging station spaces are reserved for electric vehicles and are not to be used for general parking. The vehicle must be connected to the charger while in a charging station; charging time is limited to two to three hours. Stations are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Operators must charge and move their vehicle out of the station upon completion of charging. Charging stations are available from 7:00 a.m. until 11:30 p.m. Violators will be ticketed or towed.
Note: BGE operates pay chargers in parking lot C. They take credit cards or pay apps.
Parking at 棋完美视讯
FREE parking lots and garages are available on campus for students, employees, and visitors.
Parking regulations are in effect 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Vehicles found in violation of college parking regulations are subject to citation and towing at the owner's or operator's expense. These regulations include:
- Several campus lots and two garages are open for students and visitor parking. Spaces for exclusive use will be designated by lot signage and colored parking stripes, and may only be occupied by vehicles clearly displaying the proper license plates or permits, including 棋完美视讯 decals/hangtags.
- Blue lines designate spaces accessible for persons with a disability (and the wheelchair-accessible symbol on the parking location map);
- Yellow lines designate employee-only spaces (and the symbol 2 on the parking location map);
- Green lines designate low-emitting and fuel efficient (LEHE) vehicles and carpool parking;
Note: A listing of low emission and high efficiency (LEHE) vehicles is maintained by the US Green Car Council. To apply for the (LEHE) vehicle sticker, documentation (i.e., vehicle manual) must be provided to the security office. Security will issue stickers for approved vehicles that must be placed on the right rear bumper. - Carpool spaces are reserved for vehicles with at least three occupants and display a valid car pool permit from the sustainability office.
- Vehicle must utilize only one parking space.
- Motorcycles are permitted to park within a single space or in the designated "Motorcycle Only" parking spaces in the parking garages.
Towing Vehicles
Vehicles parked on college property between the hours of 1:00 and 6:00 a.m. without prior authorization from public safety, parked in a marked fire lane, blocking an entrance, or impeding traffic, may be subject to towing at the owner’s expense. Abandoned cars not meeting the above criteria, absent extenuating circumstances, may be towed at the owner’s expense 24 hours after a towing notice has been issued and affixed to the vehicle. Public safety keeps a record of all vehicles towed. Contact information for the tow service provider is prominently displayed on signage posted throughout the campus. This does not necessarily apply to repossessions by a private company or impoundments conducted by the Howard County Police Department.
Maps
A campus parking location map is available online and print copies are available from the Welcome Center to help determine appropriate areas and spaces. Basically, a space is open for parking unless designated otherwise. Currently, employee-only yellow-striped parking spaces remain in the same location but renamed with signage in the lots and the symbol 2 on the map: Lot B, areas of Lots G and F, and H.2 behind the Athletics & Fitness Center. Accessibility for persons with disabilities is conveniently located throughout the campus, including both garages and major lots, with locations designated on the map legend and in blue-lined spaces.

Fees associated with parking violators by license plate number are processed through the Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration. All parking fees issued by the college are payable to 棋完美视讯 at the Cashier's Office, and grades will be released only when the fine is paid in full. In addition to receiving a parking citation from the college, a person parked in a handicapped space, fire zone, or no-parking zone is subject to additional fines from the Howard County Police Department.
